Pupil Premium

The Pupil Premium is an allocation of additional funding to schools to support in raising the attainment of the most vulnerable pupils. These include pupils who are entitled to free school meals, those who are looked after by the local authority and the children of armed service personnel.

All schools are required to report on the amount of funding received, how this is being used and the impact the funding has had on the achievement of pupils. Schools are free to spend the Pupil Premium as they see fit. The school also delegates part of its budget to pupils who are not targeted with Pupil Premium funding to ensure all pupils make progress.
